Title: The Dinosaur Four
Author: Geoff Jones
Published: May 25th, 2014
Description: Business is brisk at the Daily Edition Cafe as Tim MacGregor arrives to meet his new girlfriend. Two joggers enjoy a hit of caffeine before work. A delivery man takes a break from his route. Behind the counter, the baristas are busy brewing, frothing, and pouring.
But on this morning, the cafe and the people inside are suddenly transported millions of years into the past.
Ten strangers find themselves in the world of Triceratops horridus and Tyrannosaurus rex. Three survivors compete for leadership of the group, while another plots to keep them all in the past. Tim only wants to find out what caused the disaster and how to get home.
THE DINOSAUR FOUR is a fast-paced action-adventure mixed with carnage and suspense in the tradition of JAWS, THE MIST, and JURASSIC PARK.

When I received this book review request in my inbox, I was a little hesitant about reading it. One reason was that the author described it to me as a ‘Stephen King-style sci-fi thriller’, sorry that’s an immediate red-flag for me, I’m an SK purist, and no one can do his ‘style’. My second concern was the book blurb on Amazon, it just didn’t grab my attention. However, I plowed forward with it, and this is how it went: From the very beginning until I reached the end, I was hooked! The only reason it took me a day and half to read it was because of those pesky things called sleep and work, otherwise, I would not have put the book down. The plot, characters and scenes are vivid and extremely well developed. This is quite possibly the best book I’ve read in a long time. Would I call it Stephen King-style? NO – I think Geoff Jones has a unique style all his own and I hope he continues to produce more fabulous books of this caliber.
