Reviewer: Margaret Millmore via Book Explosions
Rating: 5 Stars (January 2015) Outshine is book 2 of this series and I highly recommend reading book 1 (Affinities) first! Chris Hollis “outshines” himself in book 2 of this fast paced thriller series! Like book one, he puts the reader into the mind of the characters and you can almost feel their emotion and distress. Now that Daniel is gone, again…Isabel, her fiancé Ryan and her new friend Andrew only want to put the events of the past behind them and move on with their lives. But it won’t be that easy. While Ryan is anxious to stay in the house he shares with Isabel and proceed with their wedding plans, Isabel is still haunted by Daniel’s memory and something more… She’s being hunted and followed by an unknown evil, one that is tormenting her every day. Andrew on the other hand is the one doing the hunting, because he is sure Daniel is still out there, and he intends to find him. When Isabel discovers that Daniel’s father has died and left everything to her, the mystery deepens and all three of them are thrust back into the life of Daniel and his deceptive and destructive ways. I had very hard time putting down Affinities (the first book) and when I did, I was constantly thinking about it and anxious to get back to it. I didn’t have that problem with Outshine because I didn’t bother to put it down until the very end! This book was provided to me for free for an honest and unbiased review (see all our reviews at http://www.bookexplosions.com/ or on Goodreads at https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/131875-book-explosions )
