I was provided a free copy of Dragonfly door in exchange for an honest review.
Dragonfly door is an exciting story about time-travel. We all know how difficult it can be to write a believable and easy-to-follow book dealing with a plot as complex as time travel. If done incorrectly it becomes hard to understand, boring and usually lose the reader in the first chapter. On the other-hand, when done properly stories of this nature push the reader into a world of endless possibilities that engages them page after page. I believe that Margaret Millmore did a fabulous job with Dragonfly Door.
What I Liked?
The characters were easy to like.
Stories with elements of magic are always a favorite of mine. Without giving away the plot; the dragonflies are a doorway to the future and the past.
It's one of those books that will stay with you forever. And that's what we look for in great story-telling isn't it? To find that story that leaves such a huge impact on your life long after you've closed the book, and have it still haunt you...
The only thing that bugged me, which is just a matter of personal preference were the different points-of-view. Other than that, it was an excellent novel from Margaret. I've read a few of her other books and have not been disappointed by this author. Time-travel enthusiasts need to get a copy of this book. You won't be disappointed either.
